Process (anatomy)
In anatomy, a process (Latin: processus) is a projection or outgrowth of tissue from a larger body.
Examples
Examples of processes include:
- the mastoid process
- the xyphoid process
- the spinous processextends from rearward from the centre of each vertebra.
