Segmental analysis

Segmental analysis is a way of describing congenital heart defects. In stead of describing the perceived foetal development that lead to a defect or the most obvious deviations from a normal heart, segmental analysis make a detailed description of the heart: What kind of vessel are connected to what kind of chamber and how are the connections between chambers and between chambers and vessels?
