Amyloid degeneration

Amyloid degeneration is a type of degenerationwith the depositof lardaceinin the tissues. It indicatesimpairmentof nutritivefunctionand is seen in wasting diseases.

• Also sometimes called Abercrombie's disease, Abercrombie's syndrome, Virchow's syndrome, bacony disease, cellulose disease, hyaloid disease, lardaceous disease, and waxy disease.
