Steady-state evoked potential
An evoked potentialusually lasts a few hundred milliseconds. If stimuliare presented in a rapid succession, the evoked potentials overlap in time and if the presentation rate is high enough, a steady wave is evoked.
This wave might be buried in the ongoing EEGactivity, but can be detected by Fourier analysis, since the frequency of the wave corresponds to the stimulation rate.
