Pickardt syndrome

Pickardt-syndrome (or Pickardt-Fahlbusch-Syndrome) denotes a rare form of tertiary hypothyroidismthat is caused by interruption of the portal veinsconnecting hypothalamusand pituitary, e.g. due to tumorscompressing the infundibulum.
