Azurophil
Azurophil is the term used to refer to objects that are readily stainingwith an azuredye. Used especially in reference to certain cytoplasmicgranulesin white blood cells, particularly hyperchromatinand reddish purple granules of certain blood cells. As another example, neutrophilscarry an arsenal of anti-microbial defensinswithin their azurophils, which eventually fuse with phagocyticvacuoles.
