American Brain Tumor Association

The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) was founded in 1973and is headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois. ABTA is a not-for-profit organization that exists to "eliminate brain tumorsand to meet the needs of brain tumor patient and their families". It awards funds to researchers throughout the United Statesand Canada. It was founded by two families who lost children to brain tumors.

Each year in the United States, approximately 21,000 malignantprimarybrain tumors are diagnosed.
