Desmoplasia

In medicine, desmoplasia refers to the formation of adhesionsor fibrosisin the vascular stromaof a neoplasm. It originates from the Greekdesmos (meaning fetter or band) and plasia (meaning to form). It is usually used in the description of desmoplastic small round cell tumors.
