Aëtius Amidenus or Aëtius of Amida (?????? ????????) was the court physician of Justinian I. His ?????? ??????? (Libri medicinales) document the medical knowledge of the Late Antique period.

In the manuscript for book 8.13, the word ???? (acme) is written as ????, the origin of the modern word acne.
