Anemic hypoxia

Anemic hypoxia occurs when there is sufficient oxygenin the lungs, but the bloodhas lost some of its capacity to carry it. This can occur from a lack of blood cells, such as exists if you suffer from anemiaor after donating blood. It also exists when the cells do not combine at the normal rate with oxygen, as occurs in carbon monoxide poisoning, the most common cause of anemic hypoxiain aviation.
