Barbie syndrome
A term used to loosely describe the desire to have a physical appearance and lifestyle representative of the famous Barbiedoll. Someone afflicted with Barbie syndrome strives for an unattainable body type.
Cindy Jackson, brought up in Ohioin the United Statesbut now living in London, Englandhas been cited as a real life example of Barbie syndrome. She has undergone cosmetic surgery on numerous occasions at a cost of around $100,000 in an attempt to look more like a classical Barbiedoll figure[1][2]
