Nepalese tea is very similar to tea from Darjeelingfor which it may be mistaken as the main plantations are located very close to Darjeeling. There are four flushes of tea in Nepal (assuming we exclude CTCtea):
- First flush, light a delicate
- Second flush, more flavour but still delicate
- Monsoon flush, very intense and dark
- Autumn flush, strong similar to non-Darjeelingblack teas
