Enterotoxin
An Enterotoxin is a toxinreleased by a micro-organismin the Lower Intestine. The enterotoxin alters the permeabilityof the intestinal wall. This causes waterand electrolytesto leak into the intestinal tract , causing diarrhoea. Examples of organisms that do this are: Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens.
